With over 21 years of experience, Marina’s career is a story of talent, perseverance, and transformation. She began as a young stylist in the “Happy Day” salon in Simferopol, and just three years later, earned 2nd place at both the Crimean Regional and National Hairdressing Competitions. In 2005, she took 1st place at the prestigious “Crystal Curl” competition.
Marina later trained at the legendary Vladimir Tarsyuk Hairdressing School, then joined the elite international salon chain “Maija.” In less than a year, she rose from stylist to Top Stylist, then to Art Director — a role she held for one of Ukraine’s top salon groups.
Since moving to the U.S. in 2022, Marina has quickly become one of the most respected stylists in Austin, Texas. She has completed over 50 advanced trainings with leading academies such as Toni&Guy, Vidal Sassoon, Dessange Paris, and SACO. She was one of the first in Texas to introduce the AirTouch coloring technique, and has styled for Fashion Ukraine, Andre Tan, Elle China, and Harper’s Bazaar USA.
Marina is a proud member of the PBA and AHP in the U.S., as well as multiple Ukrainian hairdressing associations. She is a current HairAwardsUSA participant, holds over 30 professional certificates, has been featured in U.S. media publications, and has received over 50 client recommendation letters. Today, as the new owner of Mika Beauty Studio, Marina brings not just a brand — but a legacy of excellence, artistry, and heart.
Early Years
Marina was born in the Donetsk region and moved to Crimea at the age of five, growing up in the small forest village of Hrushevka under modest conditions. From a young age, she displayed strong creative instincts — drawing, acting in school plays, and always dreaming of a bigger life. Determined to shape her own future, she enrolled in Vocational School No. 31 in Poltava to study hairdressing, where she received her first qualification.
Immediately after graduation, she began working — never slowing down, never stopping her pursuit of excellence. Marina believes that true mastery is earned through constant growth and self-development. Even after relocating to the United States, she pushed forward — overcoming the language barrier, passing all licensing exams, and earning top-tier licenses in both New York and Texas.
